Fuck roads. Fuck parking lots. They're giant, ugly, dangerous wastes of space, and we keep building more of them instead of convincing people that a car shouldn't be one of their most important possessions, and that car traffic shouldn't be prioritized over people walking around, people riding bikes, and any form of public transit.
I am angry. ANGRY ABOUT ROADS.
(luckily this picture has no excuse for me to start ranting about SUVs and wondering why anyone who's not compensating for a tiny poker would buy one. And it doesn't have an excuses for me to rant about America's terrible excuse for modern city planning(Let's seperate everything people want to do into distinct sections of the area! That will surely be efficient and won't cause our city to be utterly unwalkable and filled with congestion! It will also make our people happy because people just love non-variety in the places they go!). ...okay, I take that last one back.)
As for the picture itself:This is downtown Milwaukee. That highway is a delicious waste of space in the middle of a prime development area. It also creates an intersection that's annoying to cross on foot(but not as bad as the hellspawn intersection near Mayfair Mall in Wauwautosa).
